Ashley graduated with a degree in History Education from Brigham Young University. While an undergraduate student at BYU, Ashley worked as a teaching assistant and researcher for professors in Environmental Studies. After seeking a degree in the sciences for her first two years, she decided to focus her studies on history instead. Ashley is a well-rounded academic mentor and is excited to share her knowledge and insights with others. She is currently seeking her master’s degree remotely in Parks and Land Management at Indiana University.
After graduating, Ashley has enjoyed working with students of all ages as a teacher and a mentor. Her favorite aspects of teaching are working one-on- one with students and seeing them grow as learners and as individuals. She believes that education is a key to unlocking the mind and becoming a master of one’s own life. She believes strongly in making learning an enjoyable experience. Most recently, she worked at a clinic and helped test individuals with neuropsychological issues and learning disorders. She has great patience with students of all learning types and styles.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys going cross-country skiing, cycling, hiking, and doing all things outdoors. Her favorite movies include Lord of the Rings Trilogy, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Good Will Hunting. Her favorite author is Brandon Sanderson and her favorite food is the sweet potato. She loves traveling and is excited for her upcoming trip to Cambodia to fund and build homes for those in need.
