Born in New York City to an Argentine mother and American father, Douglas grew up within the American school system, eventually graduating from the American School in Japan where his time as a three-season athlete taught him balance and leadership.
Douglas left Japan for Vanderbilt University, but soon after took a gap year and transferred to Claremont McKenna College, where he played Rugby and Club Soccer. He graduated with honors with degrees in both Film and Religion, and a sequence in Leadership Studies. After starting out his career in Experiential Marketing, Douglas returned to school and is currently in the midst of finishing a Masters of Science degree in Japanese Acupuncture at the Tri State College of Acupuncture in New York.
Douglas is especially interested in helping students develop out-of-the-box thinking, and utilizing this creative new headspace to improve focus, writing, and test taking abilities.
When he isn’t editing essays or contemplating the nature of reality, you’ll find him writing movie scripts, playing FIFA, or eating ice cream.
