Kasey was born and raised in Palo Alto and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. She began her studies at Foothill College and then transferred to UC Berkeley where she graduated with a B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology with a concentration in Environment and Human Health. She graduated with distinction from the College of Natural Resources and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Kasey believes that it is important to get to know the students with whom she works in order to build trust and create a comfortable learning environment. She has experience tutoring college students in chemistry and math courses up to precalculus. She also works with students on biology, physics, and the ACT and SAT.
In her free time, Kasey enjoys exploring hiking trails around the San Francisco Bay Area with her two dogs, baking, and knitting. Kasey has enjoyed working with kids of all ages and backgrounds for the past decade. She is a volunteer at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and Okizu, an organization that supports families affected by childhood cancer. Kasey is applying to medical school and hopes to someday become a pediatrician
