With over five years of experience as a coach, tutor, and counselor, Logan has always enjoyed helping his students develop their abilities and achieve their goals. As the captain of his soccer and baseball teams in High School, he has a demonstrated ability to lead by example and to motivate his peers and students alike. Logan’s interdisciplinary educational background, as well as his superior test scores, give him the unique ability to tutor a wide-range of subjects.
Logan grew up in Marin County and spent much of his childhood outdoors, playing sports and exploring Mt. Tam. He attended The Branson School and Deerfield Academy for a Post-Graduate year, where he was a standout athlete. He graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont, where he majored in both English and American studies and was a starting pitcher on the baseball team. Following his junior year, Logan was accepted into Middlebury’s full-immersion summer program called “MiddCORE,” in which visiting CEO’s, entrepreneurs, non-profit founders and politicians guide intensive case studies to develop leadership, collaboration, problem-solving and presentation skills, and he received the 2014 Exquisite Design award. His extensive study of American literature and history was focused upon the American West, and he was accepted to the Adventure Writing Workshop during his senior year. On campus, Logan was involved with a group called “Brother to Brother,” which aimed to foster healthy concepts of masculinity through mentorship of local middle school boys.
Following graduation, Logan returned to his native Bay Area where he explored several new interests, spending one year in a sales role and one year at a financial services firm – all while tutoring students in writing, math, history, science, and the SAT/ACT. Logan is based in San Francisco and enjoys surfing, mountain biking, hiking and reading.
