Marty Evans has a long history of academic mentorship and test preparation. Taking his first SAT in middle school, he began tutoring in high school and most recently led the peer tutoring program, 15 years later, for his MBA classmates at Stanford. He sees arming students with the confidence to demystify challenging subjects – especially mathematics – as a meaningful opportunity. He enjoys teaching all levels of math, AP chemistry, AP physics, and English. He can also tutor in business subjects such as economics and accounting with plenty of real world examples.
Marty studied mechanical engineering and Chemistry at Yale University while competing all four years on their NCAA Division I track team. In his final season as the team captain, he set the school record in the 200m dash which he still holds. After working for a few years as a mechanical engineer at Siemens Energy, he came to Silicon Valley to earn his MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
Coming from Charlotte, NC, Marty roots for his hometown Carolina Panthers but assures you he’s a loyal Green Bay Packers fan. In his free time he still runs, plays pick up soccer, and searches for new ice cream shops.
