For seven years, Savannah has privately tutored a multitude of students in English courses and essay writing. She also works as an English, Grammar, and Writing teacher with Masterprep Academy for 4th-12th grade students.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Fullerton with two BAs in English and Psychology, Savannah moved on to graduate school at Emerson College where she’s currently studying Popular Fiction Writing & Publishing. Savannah discovered her appreciation for English and writing after publishing her first book in high school. Since then, she has led many creative writing workshops catered towards encouraging self-expression and improving critical thinking skills. Her experiences in tutoring, mentoring, teaching, and facilitating workshops have enhanced her appreciation of the huge responsibility and privilege it is to be directly involved with students’ educational journeys.

Before transitioning into academics, Savannah assisted transition age youth (18-25) that may have been undergoing homelessness, substance usage challenges, significant trauma, and/or lived experiences revolving around identities such as being part of the LGBTQ+ community or an ethnic minority group. Her prior lived and work experiences in the mental health field have significantly impacted her mentorship skills as she values holistic approaches that incorporate empathy, listening, connection, resilience, and a growth-oriented mindset. She strongly believes that everyone deserves the right to an education and has seen firsthand that, no matter one’s background, academic growth is possible and is a valuable lifelong asset worth striving for.

In her spare time, Savannah loves to travel the world, play the piano, and go paddle boarding at her local beach. She also enjoys sitting in the park with a good book and her pup named Koda, who is currently in training to be a therapy dog.
