Brian is a credentialed Davisite, having grown up there and graduated from Toad Tunnel University. (In addition to UC Davis, where he received his B.A. in Economics and International Relations, along with minors in Psychology and Philosophy)
After graduating, he moved to the Washington D.C., where in addition to tutoring SAT/ACT math through Calculus AB, and a variety of AP Subjects, he managed multiple tutoring centers, overseeing student progress and teacher hiring and training. But his heart was always in California, and he eventually returned to continue his passion for education in his home state.
Throughout his experience, he has always loved working with students on a one to one basis, catering his teaching to their individual strengths and weaknesses. He considers his best strength his ability to do whatever it takes to ensure that a student makes progress. He especially enjoys teaching history, politics, and philosophy, as he loves encouraging students to develop their critical thinking skills in order to better understand the nuances and complexities native to these fields.
In his spare time, he enjoy reading, video games, and playing and watching basketball. Go Kings!
