Overview
For 20 years, ESM has helped students of all ages master varied subjects. We’re here to coach students through challenges and help them navigate difficult content, to answer questions and also to ask questions. We’re focused on cultivating intellectual curiosity in our students, and we’re committed to fostering their development as lifelong learners.
We've learned a few things over the years. We have found that when students have help from talented tutors—tutors who really focus on their individualized thought processes and needs—they begin to change how they think. Our students begin to see perspectives they’d previously missed, building connections and asking challenging questions.
Most importantly, we've learned that if you give students confidence, support, and the tools to be successful, anything is possible.

Common Questions
Would you consider teaching things that are not on the list?
We’re open to teaching new subjects depending on the availability of our team at a given time.
Will you help me even if I only need a session or two to get my application perfect?
Absolutely! If you feel like you only need to work with an expert to put the finishing touches on an already great application, we're here to help.
What age groups do you teach?
We’re available for academic mentorship and tutoring for students in third grade and up.
Weighted vs. Unweighted GPA
Weighted GPA is often used by high schools to better represent students’ academic accomplishments. It takes into account course difficulty, rather than providing the same letter grade to GPA conversion for every student. Usually, weighted GPA is measured on a scale of 0 to 5.0. An A in an AP class may translate into a 5.0 weighted GPA, while an A in a regular-level class will give you a 4.0 weighted GPA.
Do you give one-time sessions?
We typically do not give one-time sessions. Our unique mentorship model is rooted in building relationships and developing strategies catered to our students’ unique learning needs and goals.
