Adam is one of the world's preeminent experts in standardized test preparation. He has spent thousands of hours mentoring students across four continents, refining techniques and strategies for both the SAT and ACT. His depth of knowledge allows him to strategically customize the curriculum for each one of his students, blending together a mix of academic concept review, test prep strategies, and confidence building to ensure maximum results. Adam’s thorough understanding of the tests’ contents allows him to shore up even the smallest problem areas in each section so that his students feel as prepared as possible on test day. On average, Adam's students capture two-thirds of the points available to them on the SAT or ACT, twice the national average.
As ESM’s Director of Test Strategy, Adam travels the world to educate students and parents on the ins and outs of high school test preparation and the importance of standardized testing on the college admissions landscape. He is a frequent contributor to ESM’s blog and newsletters, publishing articles that shed light on various points of the test preparation process. He has previously developed custom SAT and ACT tests and curricula for educational startups and has served as ESM’s Director of Training and Curriculum, training the majority of ESM's full-time mentors in test preparation.
As a Philadelphia native and Arsenal FC fan, Adam balances his favorite teams’ perpetual disappointments by focusing on his students’ successes. Adam lives in Michigan with his wife Allison and two young children, Addie and Otis.
