Growing up as an only child, Archer always wanted younger siblings, a sentiment that has seamlessly evolved into commitment to mentorship. Whether returning to her all-girls alma mater in Cleveland, Ohio to conduct day-long songwriting workshops or working as a counselor at the summer camp that played a significant role in her elementary school years, Archer actively seeks opportunities to invest in the lives of young people from the communities that have profoundly shaped her own. Her dedication to mentorship took root during her time at Yale, from which she graduated magna cum laude with a double major in Music and Political Science and a certificate in Advanced Spanish Language. During her time at Yale, she immersed herself in the New Haven community through performing with the Yale Symphony Orchestra, music directing her a cappella group, and volunteering at local public schools with Refugee and Immigrant Student Education, a student-led organization dedicated to fostering cultural inclusion through teaching.
Having attended a college preparatory school for 14 years, Archer intimately comprehends the pressures of balancing rigorous academics and a busy extracurricular schedule. Growing up, she was extremely involved in the performing arts; she also led several student organizations and served as class president in her senior year. Given this understanding, her first and foremost goal as a tutor is to alleviate her students' stress and anxiety, providing a calming presence and assurance that they always have someone to guide them through challenging concepts. Archer's tutoring experience spans diverse age groups, ranging from kindergarteners to adults juggling academic responsibilities and young children. This breadth of teaching exposure has not only honed her ability to adapt swiftly to each student's unique needs but has also taught her to lead with compassion, patience, and understanding.
Since graduating, Archer dedicates her free time to intellectual pursuits, immersing herself in nonfiction books to stay mentally engaged. She keeps active and centered through yoga, where she always challenges herself to nail tricky arm balances or learn new poses. Beyond that, she finds joy in expressing herself through music, engaging in activities such as singing, songwriting, and jam sessions with friends.
