Academic Mentorship
Test Prep
Jack is an Academic Mentor at ESM Prep, specializing in providing academic support and SAT/ACT test preparation to high school students nationwide. His tutoring approach focuses on blending content mastery with strategic thinking, ensuring students not only grasp the material but also develop the skills necessary for long-term success. Jack's commitment to education extends to his volunteer work with School on Wheels, where he tutors students living in homeless shelters.
A Stanford University alumnus, Jack graduated with a B.A. in Economics. During his time at Stanford, he worked for the admissions department, leading tours and hosting informational sessions for over 5,000 high school students. A former competitive high school debater, Jack also coached various local high school debate teams while at Stanford. These two experiences gave Jack valuable insights into the needs and aspirations of college-bound students.
Jack particularly values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with his students, supporting them through challenges and celebrating their successes along the way. For him, tutoring isn't just about improving grades or test scores, it's about fostering a love for learning and helping students discover their own potential.
Besides tutoring, Jack is a screenwriter. He enjoys learning about story structure and can usually be found working on his latest script. For fun, Jack plays tennis, cooks new dishes, goes to the movies, and writes about himself in the third person!
