Originally from Spain, Teresa graduated from the United World College in Norway, with a diploma from the International Baccalaureate Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, where she also completed a minor in East Asian Studies. During her undergraduate studies, Teresa studied abroad in China, Germany and Cuba. She then moved to the United Kingdom to pursue an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College and is currently pursuing a PhD in Energy Engineering at the University of Cambridge.
Education has always been a driving force for Teresa, and she values all subjects and fields of knowledge equally, really believing in the value of acknowledging the interconnectedness between them. She has worked with a diverse student body and in a wide range of areas, ranging from teaching maths and physics to her peers at an international school with students from over 90 countries, to teaching English, science and arts to middle school students in China, to helping Spanish students with their university applications. Having learnt how to navigate so many different countries' educational systems, she is most passionate about translating the American application process and educational approach for international students from a variety of backgrounds.
In her spare time, Teresa loves to read books, learn languages (she currently speaks Spanish, English, Mandarin, German and French), and dance. She is a Flamenco and Bhangra teacher, and she believes these experiences have also allowed her to learn more about the importance of flexibility, self-confidence and diligence.
